wow, so this entire post i kept wanting to write "january" instead of "november," which i think is my brain's way of saying, "HEY GET IT TOGETHER IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS." that, or it's trying to tell me, "HEY YOU'RE LOSING YOUR MIND JUST FYI." in either case, this long, delicious holiday weekend has been full of lots of to-do-ing, but also lots of nice warm, sleeping. maybe that will help with the crazy? now on to the dailies:

another week of dailies coming at you! i installed my students' first big art exhibition this week, and it looks pretty great, if i do say so myself. i'll be sure to document the opening this thursday and post some shots of my adorable middle schoolers.

oh sweet jesus i love daylight savings time! it snuck up on me and totally rewarded me with a legit extra hour of sleep this morning. WHAT A GREAT PRESENT.

yesterday was an incredible, exhilarating, amazing time at the rally to restore sanity and/or fear. i got a sunglasses-shaped face tan and it took us almost 5 hours to get home, but it was nothing but worth it. i dreamed of jon stewart and his sexy sexy... smarts. mmm.

it's time for the dailies, and then it's time to do so many things! a professional development, no student friday lulled me into a false sense of free time that i am now catching up on so here we go!

the "long" weekend did allow me to go see the new pornographers live yesterday night which was basically incredible. watch the pretty adorable video for "crash years" off their new album together, and have a good week!

hi everyone--- it's sunday, which means it's dailies day! despite a string of truly heinous suckfests, there were enough nice moments for the sum of the week to end up in the plus column. yesterday i also went to see the new exhibition at the american visionary art museum, "what makes us smile?" which was great! it was great to be a real human for a hot second.
