fall came for a brief moment, and then we were whisked right back into hot, sticky summer, in spite of my desperate pleas for cooler weather and with it, hot coffee, breezy walks, and sweaters, scarves, and boots.

on friday night, despite the endless rain that has been saddling baltimore, i went to see fleet foxes and the walkmen at merriweather post pavilion. and IT WAS AWESOME. decked out in my finest (mismatched) rain gear that left me looking like some sort of hobo-flasher hybrid, i nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed myself. they put on a spectacular show. listen to their song "lorelai" below:

here we have the dailies that mark the first full week of school (hurricane irene and labor day helped us ease back into things a bit at a time)!

today was also my first trip to the baltimore farmer's market in a long while (thanks to pre-college, travel and insufferable humidity). a brisk walk, hot cup of zeke's, and great fresh, cheap produce is such a great way to start my sunday. have a great week, everybody! 

dailies 9/4-9/10.

here are the dailies, rounding out a long holiday-weekend with a free screening of bridesmaids, which s just so good, and now joining you after traveling with me on a whirlwind 36-hour trip down to south carolina for a good friend's wedding (which was beautiful and a great time). i am such a freaking jet-setter.

i'm super-snoozy since the wedding went late into the night and i got up at 4 this morning to go to the airport. not my best planned adventure in the first place, plus it was punctuated by the fact that, upon arrival to the greenville airport, the southwest counter was closed. as in, no humans, no self-service, no nothing, and it stayed that way for almost an hour before we could check-in, go through security, and most importantly, get coffee.

dailies 8/28-9/3.

i was lucky enough to ease back into the school year with a three-day week and a three day weekend! what a way to go back to work. this year started off *much* smoother than the last, and i am really excited to work more closely with the eighth grade students this year.
