dailies 9/25-10/1.

some speedy end-of-the-day dailies as i jet off to prepare for an observed lesson first thing tomorrow morning! this was a off-beat week, with jury duty and rosh hashana (aka no school) sandwiched among teaching days.

things i learned at jury duty: 

1) it costs $11 a day to park in baltimore city

2) dreamboats adam scott and michael vartan were both in monster-in-law, quite possibly the worst movie ever made (what a waste)

3) no one ever mispronounces your name when it's "juror 453"

hi everyone, long time no see!  thanks for your patience in my delayed dailies from last week, i was a little busy having a real-person vacation with my buddy jean marie! it was lovely to not think about work for a whole 5 days and truly set my own (lazy) life pace. without further ado, here are the many, many dailies from the last two weeks:

the countdown has officially begun! thursday marked the end of 3rd quarter (WHOA) and friday marked the two-weeks-to-spring-break countdown. let's take a look:

tomorrow starts the last week of school before winter break and i am SO READY to jump on a plane the moment the bell rings on thursday! here are the dailies:

perfect early-christmas involved a series of baltimore staples: brunch at miss shirley's (margherita  omelette and pumkin cheesecake-stuffed french toast) and then take-out from iggie's pizza (gorgonzola pear, pesto-spinach-tomato with goat cheese, and duck with asparagus/red onion---WHOA) while watching season one of the wire. since christmas happens before my next dailies post, everybody have a safe, warm, and happy holiday!

this week was a strange, only-three-teaching-days week, and next week, i don't teach on tuesday, either! i forgot how many strange days off public school students get, and it has been a very pleasant surprise, let me tell you. have a great week, everybody!

doing my best to keep on top of the posting with my limited access to a scanner and my real life. precollege is like a funny temporary fantasyland, and it's awesome and exhausting and moves a mile a minute. here are the dailies from fantasyland:

the dailies are back! sort of. i'm still a bit sick, which is totally annoying, and i spent the last four days at the national art education association convention, which was totally nerdy and totally incredible. that being said, i'm exhausted and saddled with so much work to catch up on to since i got to take a miniature academic vacation. so, here they are so i can get back to work:
